Riding for the Disabled could not exist without the many volunteers who give their time to help our riders obtain valuable emotional and physical therapy.

Beechley RDA group will be glad of any help you can offer and no prior knowledge of horses or disabilities is necessary.  Some volunteers might prefer to offer their services for non equine activities such as administration, fundraising activities or DIY.

Volunteers need to be at least fourteen to be covered by the RDA insurance and will be asked to complete an enrolment form (which requires a basic reference), a training card and supply the relevant information for a Criminal Record Check (DBS).

Volunteers on the rides require patience and a sense of humour and a basic level of physical fitness as a considerable amount of walking is involved.

You can download the volunteer application form on this page and either drop it in by hand at the Centre, post it or email it to us. We also require two reference forms. They only need to be filled in by someone over the age of 18 who knows you but isn't related to you/living in the same household as you.

Whilst we require assistance with stable management and other tasks at all times, ride volunteers are needed on the following occasions:
